Dancing With the Stars' Anna Delvey Reveals Her Hidden Talent—And It's Not Reinventing Herself

Anna Delvey has an arresting talent up her sleeve.
In fact, reinvention is only one of the many skills the Inventing Anna subject—who was convicted of larceny after allegedly posing as a German heiress and scamming thousands of dollars from New York elites—has in her possession.
"She can put her leg behind her head," Anna's Dancing With the Stars' partner Ezra Sosa told E! News in an exclusive joint interview after the season 33 premiere Sept. 17. "She literally did it today and I'm like, 'Girl, where was this on day one?'"
To which Anna quipped, "You never asked!"
But the 33-year-old is not one to show off. After all, joining DWTS has already pushed her way past her comfort zone.
"I'm not a performer, so it's something new," Anna shared. "I learned a lot and hopefully I'll learn a lot moving forward." (For more from Anna and the rest of this season's DWTS cast, tune into E! News tomorrow, Sept. 18, at 11 p.m.)
And like Julia Garner's character on Inventing Anna, the convicted fraudster doesn't have time for negativity. Amid backlash over her DWTS casting, Anna—who was released from prison in 2021, but was detained by immigration authorities until 2022 for overstaying her visa—told E! News, "People should give me a chance."
"I repaid my restitutions and I served my time," she noted. "I should be afforded a chance to move on."
Still, criticism is nothing Anna can't handle.
"I've been through trial. I've been through a couple of scandals," said the socialite, who is competing on DWTS with a court-ordered ankle monitor. "I feel like I had a little bit of practice."
Anna jokingly added, "This is a dancing show, so hopefully I'm not going to be reincarcerated for dancing badly."
