There's more to the Moon than being the Earth's sole natural satellite. Across centuries, the Moon has held deep cultural significance, often symbolizing life's cyclical nature.
In astrology, the Moon corresponds with a person's emotions and feelings. It illuminates one's inner self, allowing better understanding of the subconscious.
The Moon can shed light on our reactions to certain situations, says Lisa Stardust, astrologer and author. To reach your goals and aspirations, you can tap into the Moon's power, she says, and manifest by making moon water.
Here's a guide on how-to, especially for tonight's blue moon.
What is moon water?
Moon water refers to water that is infused with moonlight. "It's really easy to make moon water," explains Stardust. "You can make moon water during any of the eight phases of the Moon."

People usually make moon water during the new moon or full moon, says Stardust. Each phase has its own power and meaning. For instance, the new moon is associated with "fresh energy," Stardust shares. "It's the beginning of the monthly lunar cycle. So, it's a time where we're setting our intentions and we're putting the idea into the air."
When you place water outside or on a windowsill, the Moon radiates its energy onto it. "It adds a lot of potency," says Stardust. From there, you can use the water to help manifest.

How to make moon water
The basics of moon water are simple, but the process is customizable depending on your intentions, Stardust says.
Start by pouring water into any vessel − a jar, cup or pot would all work. Then place the water outside or near a window. "Even if you don't have Moon-facing proximity to your window, it doesn't matter because the energy is still potent," adds Stardust.
Allow the water to sit overnight, or up to 24 hours, Stardust advises. Once the time is up, you have moon water.
"You can drink it, or you can use it in your bath or in the shower, or make tea with it," Stardust shares. "However you choose to use it, you're infusing it with your intention." For example, taking a bath with moon water can detox your energy and cleanse your aura, Stardust says.

You can make moon water and manifest with it any time during the month, Stardust advises.
Stardust does, however, encourage using moon water on a Monday "because that's the moon's day."
